In 2016, Mercer County recorded a total of 8,114 crimes. This figure represents an 18.1% decline in the overall crime rate between 2012 and 2016. Reported incidences of property crimes include 1,592 burglaries, 4,486 larceny-thefts, and 541 motor vehicle thefts.
