Morris County Court Records

Morris County has one Superior Court, one Surrogate’s Court, and 32 Municipal Courts. The Superior Court administers all of the courts in Morris and Sussex Counties while Municipal Courts are the primary trial courts in the towns and boroughs of Morris County. The Surrogate’s Court is only involved in the probate of Wills and adoption proceedings. How to Lookup Morris County Property Records

In Morris County, members of the public may lookup property records through the Morris County Office of the Prosecutor, Tax Board, or the County Clerk’s Office.

While the Prosecutor's office only offers in-person and mail-in options for a Morris County Property Search, the Tax Board and the County Clerk’s Office both offer online search options. The online tax records search portal allows users access property tax information and property documents dating back to 1964. Requesters will be required to furnish the system with relevant information for their query to be processed. This includes the owner name, record year or document number as well as lot, plot and recording numbers, depending on the nature of the request.
