Yes. The New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA) ensures that court records are made available to members of the public. How to Conduct a Camden County Case Records Search

Copies of Camden County court records can be retrieved by downloading a Request Form and submitting it online through the Judiciary Electronic Document Submission (JEDS). The desired records will be returned via US mail, email, fax, and pick-up. Letter-sized copies of court records cost 5¢ per page, while legal size costs 7¢ per page. Requesters can also access case records through the Electronic Access Program (EAP). Users without a Judiciary Account Charge System (JACS) account must create an account to use EAP. To enroll in EAP, interested persons must mail the subscriber agreement and subscriber enrollment forms to:

Upon enrollment, a login ID and password will be sent to the requester by email. Access to court records via EAP costs $4 per minute. Alternatively, court records can be obtained in person in the court where the case was heard. The Court staff would need a name or case number to process the search.

Camden County Civil Court Case Records

A civil case record is a legal document that contains information on civil cases filed with any court in Camden County. The Civil Division of the Camden County Superior Court handles civil court cases in which the amount in controversy exceeds $20,000. The Special Civil Part of the Civil Division handles civil cases where the amount in controversy is between $5,000 and $20,000.

Individuals can retrieve Camden County civil court cases online through the Civil Case Jacket Public Access portal provided by the New Jersey Courts. The search parameters are by docket number or party name. Users can modify the search by entering the court division that heard the case, the docket type, the date, and the year when conducting a search by docket number.

Other ways to make civil court record requests are by phone at (856) 650-9100 ext. 43220 or in person at the Civil Division. In-person requests should be made during business hours at the courthouse. The court charges a small fee for copies of civil court records.

Camden County Criminal Court Case Records

A criminal case record is an official document relating cases brought by the state against a person for committing a criminal offense. The Camden County Superior Court Criminal Division handles all adult criminal cases. To perform a Camden County criminal court case lookup online, requesters must visit the PROMIS/Gavel case management system. The requester must provide a name, indictment/accusation number, or CDR number on this search portal. Alternatively, individuals can find criminal case records in person at the Superior Court. Basic information about the case must be provided to complete the search.
