- Triple Exemplified Copy: Contains additional certifications from both the judge and clerk.

Large or regular requests may be sent to local management for handling, as the Judiciary balances public access with efficient court operations. How to Get Court Records Online for Free
Somerset County Civil Court Case Records may be obtained online for free through the civil case public access portal. Requestors must input specific criteria, like the Division of Civil case (Civil, General Equity, or Special Civil), to narrow the search. After entering the specific criteria they are to search by providing either the docket number of the case or the name of any party in the case. After which the portal will provide a list of matching cases. Requesters can then select a case to access details such as Name, Venue, Docket Number, Case Caption, Case Status, Case Initiation Date, Disposition Date, Case Type, and Judge.
Also, Somerset County Criminal Court Case Records may be obtained through the Promis/Gavel public access system. Requestors are to select “Somerset” under the County option and also provide either the Name or the Indictment/Accusations number of the case for the search to be initiated. After entering these details criteria, they may click on the “Search” button. After which the system will provide a list of matching cases. Requesters can then select a case to access details such as the Defendant's Name, Alias Name, City, Birth Place, State, Sex, Height, Weight Hair Colour, Eyes Colour, FBI Number, and SBI Number.
